Indium gallium zinc oxide (IGZO) displays.

Is a semiconducting material, jointly developed by Sharp Corporation and Semiconductor Energy Laboratories.

It allows either smaller pixels (for screen resolutions higher than HDTV) or much higher reaction speed for a screen. 

32-inch 3840×2160, 10-inch 2560×1600 and 7-inch 1280x800 IGZO panels are now available by SHARP.

Apple iPhone 6 planned to use this kind of smartphone display in near future. 

May be all Apple products like, iPhone, iPad, iPod like hardware may going to use the IGZO displays in upcoming years :) 

These display provides great resolution and consume very less energy 80 to 90 % than normal LCD display. 

This display is going to be the game changers in the field of energy saving for hand held devices.
